When Chateau Jewelers was founded in 1966 we placed a gracefully shaped “C” at the beginning of our name. Over the years, it has come to stand for the quality, service, and value we give our customers, and they have responded with their loyalty and trust. Now, we have bonded these elements by joining two hand carved “C”’s to create our hallmark piece: the Chateau “Dancing Hearts.” You will find this heartmark stamped with pride on all of our work.

Chateau was founded in 1966 by Dave and Mina Salvit. The store has been family-owned and family-run ever since. We have our own factory on the premises, which allows us to oversee our projects meticulously, and ensure that our creations hold to the highest of quality standards. As our slogan aptly puts it, our jewelry is “made with love to give with love.” When you shop at our store, you become more than just a customer— you become family. Chateau is loyal and dedicated not only to its customers, but to making a positive impact on the world, too. A portion of all sales is donated to local charities to help the children of the community.
About Gary:
Gary, the son of founders Dave and Mina Salvit, has been in the Jewelry business for over 40 years, and considers himself a Jewelry Architect; always using his math and design skills to build unique jewelry. His path started as a child with his passion for mathematics and architecture, but it wasn't till he completed his PHD coursework in Mathematical Economics that he realized his true wish: to be an architect. Gary parlayed his strengths, talents and desires into making his parents’ legacy, Chateau Jewelers, more unique. That was the moment he decided to become a “Jewelry Architect.” and shape Chateau Jewelers into what it is today. Gary's passion and creativity led him to create one-of-a-kind pieces and custom lines of jewelry, exclusively at Chateau. Whether buying, producing, or remodeling jewelry, Gary uses his meticulousness and keen eye for detail to ensure that every item is of the highest standards. He is dedicated to his customers and keeps in line with their needs, always striving for his customers to be completely satisfied.
